The purpose of the workshops in Surabaya and Jakarta is to:

  • share information on Indonesia and the potential market for students to study in Australian schools
  • share information on the Australian education system and the quality and benefits of an international education in an Australian school
  • provide an opportunity for one on one meetings between education agent and Australian school representatives.

The number of Australian schools will be limited to 12 in Surabaya and 15 in Jakarta.

AEAS held an Australian Schools-Education Agent Workshop in Jakarta in 2012 with ten schools and ten agents participating.

Comments from school participants included:

  • Good opportunities to establish name and reputation of school in Indonesia with a variety of agents.
  • I think this was a great way for schools to start re-entering the Indonesian market.  Good format.
  • As my first experience, I found this workshop very worthwhile. It would be useful to explore regional agencies as well.
  • Very keen to begin the process of slowly rebuilding our connections to Indonesia. This has started today and we will be patient in strengthening our profile here.

Comments from agent participants included:

  • Ideally agent workshop should coincide with a schools exhibition.
  • (My agency) is keen to support the schools sector in any possible way.  Thank you for inviting (us) and involving (us) in discussions.

Please confirm participation in the above exhibition by Friday 5 April 2013. If your school did not receive a copy of the 2013 Exhibition Program please contact AEAS on
